The rosebud has many meanings here and you make the rosebud come alive. I like the free verse structure and starting each verse with Rosebud.

I like the gentle coaxing in this work, as you urge the rosebud. At first there is understanding about self-protection and the desire to remain closed within the self. But then, because you know the beauty inside, you kindly cajole the rosebud to unfold, and share itself with the world. Lovely!

There are some people like this, . .or worse, those that open up so eagerly only to be plucked too early and left to die. (I digress - sorry, the poem just got me thinking.) This is a beautiful poem with a great deal of passion and feeling.

How you use rose bud is very person applicable in corelation with the feelings topic.
It's really nice to read and i like the gentle feel of the flow and soft wording , rose bud throughout is quite cpturing and calming.
Really nice in rose red.

This work has reached the exceptional level

...Good morning Pretty Rosebud;
I pray you tell me true;
To be as sweet as a red, red, rose;
What must a buddy do...

There goes one of those Nursery rhymes that I liked...
So many poems were made with the rose or rosebud as the subject. A poet can't really help the attraction of a rose to be the subject. Besides, the rose alone signifies beauty (the flower itself) and pain (the thorns)combined. And what a topic to behold.

A rose bud could be comparable to someone who's young and no experience yet in this world. To ask one to open up is like encouraging her to go deeper into life and find it's meaningful ways...

I loved this piece and the very beautiful picture of a red rose bud...

Interesting way of portraying someone who is keeping their emotions to themselves in order to keep safe.
Then their lover urging them to open up and let them in.
Nicely done and great imagery - love the repetition here. Not typically an impact phrase "Rose Bud" but it really keeps the theme and power of the entire poem.
Thanks for sharing.

This was a very beautiful poem my friend!
I think it portrays the way that you try to gain the trust of someone you love. I think the rose is very good way to show this process.
Very nicely done my friend!

this is a beautiful illustration of opening your heart to love, vulnerable and closed at first, but slowly opening to receive love and blooms to its full potential.....
