A sad situation. There are too many children suffering today because their mother is too depressed to care for them. The mother is usually so involved with her own problems she has no time for the children. There should be more attention paid to parents who suffer from depression; they often are ignored because of their depression, they should be getting help, not ignored. A fine post, good reminder to folks there are people out there that need their help. Sometimes just a friendly hello helps.

I don't know why the site won't let me give you a six, but this is certainly deserving of one! I am an artist as well, so i appreciate both the artwork and the verse. Loved the format and presentation of the words as they are emphasized with few words on a line- really loved this: "the bone in your spinal frame the known behind your first name." Great work! Holly

We all are drawn into the seduction of oblivion and death so depression which is the suppression of life, is very widely spread. It differs from sadness in that there no real reason to suffer it. Your answer is hope. That might be an illusion, a may be. I say we need a greater awareness of ourselves and a sense of detachment to life.Be well. -Ekim777
