This one is so freaking wild I have no idea what to think except that for a run on poem it was a brilliant example of excellence and anyone who thinks otherwise can't particularly read for if they could they would see that humor comes from an Australian lassie who has graced the page with yet another brilliant piece of writing the end.

loved it good luck girly! xoxo Wii

I'm new on this site. so far this is a different slant than any of the other poems I've read. I'm not a poet but it reads and feels like one so I'd say you have it made. God loves you and I do too.

Hello closetpoetjester,
I found your poem to be funny, clever and creative all in one. You did an amazing job writing about something as simple as plants and turned into a wonderful piece. Very well done my friend. Thank you for sharing with us all. It was a great read....xoxo

Boy this is long. lol I loved the poem. But most of all, I loved the image that you chose. Just simple flower pots but the painting looks so realistic. Thank you for posting.

Sorry but the plants had MUCH to say and this WAS their self proclaimed eulogy after all...haha
Thanks for your supportive review inspite of the lengthy plant matters.
Oh yeah that pic is realistic of most of the potted plants etc I've owned. LOL

Despite the hilarity, double entendre, I felt rather sad for these wilting blokes. Your poem is chock full of creativity and imaginative story telling. Bravo! Blessings, Hector

This WAS only about plants but I somehow managed to changed that. LOL

Do you have low-E glass? That's what I blame all my plant problems on...even the ones outside. :)

Good job with this, but I find the start is a bit confusing...could be just me, too.

They might be good for compost...for future dead plants in my yard/garden. :) Carrie

low-E-glass? WTF?? is that mate? Not a clue this end.
No, I think the main prob is the no water factor...haha
I tell a lie, not ALL of them hate me...I have a couple I am sweet with or well um that have kind of just grown accidentally and are somehow hanging in there...so its not all bad.
Thanks for a terrific review and it was simply a poem, completely from the "plant matter's" pov. I DID confuse some though.
Hey, thats my free verse - right out on a shaky limb. LOL
Cheers and thanks for a great review, but I find the start is a bit confusing...hey - where did I just hear that? LMAO

LOL- As I read, I wasn't positive I was reading about 'plants'- thought it might be a fanstory member! LOL Beautiful (quite long)poem. I have read it three times love the metaphors! A lot said about a potted plant. LOL- but I did enjoy the read. Thanks for sharing. Betty

Nope, no fanstory members...I can't raise any sort of effort these days to berate my fellow writers here.
I'd much rather let my plants do it! LMAO
    Kidding.
Thanks a bunch from the dead green stuff.

Yep, plants finally die for lack of attention, just as the human spirit can be broken. Nice twofold meaning you have sneaked in here. Plastic plants and plastic state of minds. Thought the form good for your lamentation. I don't even look at a plant anymore-they just sigh and accept their fate, as I do when trying some self-improvement.Hope my fate fairs better. Nice job, Closet, and best of luck in the contest.xxSusan

Yes lack of attention will do it everytime Carrie.
Plastic plants sound terrific...they will just need a dust now and then. LOL
    Thanks a bunch

The verse is remarkably free and is the type I like to read. The plant's dead because it thirsted to death while you wrote it's eulogy. A dramatic rendering: I seen both sexual and spiritual matters raised, nurtured, rolled into social commentary and abandoned, all, while the plant died.
Witty and clever and convincing monologue that takes a healthy swipe or two at sanity and our own mortality. (and they say plants like ten digits grubbing in the earth, plant food and water--Ha) The very best of luck in the contest, P. Kenny

What a delightful review K...your ever thoughtful analysis' of my writing spur me on to stay true to my wacky roots and write what comes naturally...although sometimes I let the plants have the pen. Thats over now of course after the eulogy. haha
Cheers and thanks again for a super sixer

Haha beaut review Linda, thanks so much, loved your suggestion for the lamp but it must have battery backup and you WILL need to provide a lightglobe.
Don't cry for the plants...they sure as sh*t didn't...too dry remember? LOL
cheers and many thanks ...have a great Sunday.
