and soon as I read what Doctrex did when he was aiding the man who was stabbed . I said to myself now Doctrex is a Doctor.

THANK YOU for the HONOR! I'm just so pleased you are enjoying the story. There is a lot of speculation, Gert, that he was a doctor in his previous life. Only I know for sure. You'll find out if you keep reading. BTW, I'm going to start posting more split chapters and about every other day. Consequently, they won't ride that high on the lists. But that shouldn't matter too much anyway since most of my readers are alerted to the postings on their message board. Besides, there are only a handful of "meaty" reviews (yours being one), so I'm not shooting for quantity. They'll all have a 4 day certificate and a 50% chance at a pump. Thank you, Maddy. I appreciate your new friendship and that you are getting into The Trining. BTW, I'm going to start posting more split chapters and about every other day. Consequently, they won't ride that high on the lists. But that shouldn't matter too much anyway since most of my readers are alerted to the postings on their message board. Alright this was back to the good old Jay Squires. Your action and pacing were excellent. I liked how you made the stabbing the climax and then the sobering of the event made them all start to talk. This was very realistic. The description of the tavern girl and the wringing of the apron was a good visual. It brought in a homey touch to a macho scene. really nice chapter.

So Doctrex might have a medical background and he has a soft spot for Zurn. Will be interesting to see if a relationship develops. Noticed a couple things you may want to edit

Thank you Eagle-eye Rita! I've gone in and made the changes. The only one I left was "I'll go. I'll get a blanket." I'm doing what I can to try to show his "slowness" through his speech.
