Damn... how many times can I handle reading these poems. I cannot stop from reading them, even though my heart stops beating correctly. Scary as hell, Jezebel induced hell. Your poem is flawless (except for my racing heart, and new fears) exceptionally written. So very well done, in scaring me senseless. This is one of those poems that is very true, their are people like this. The artwork you chose, and the style of your font, and the colours work
perfectly in adding to the fear... I cant read these at night anymore... Thanks for frightening me near sleep time.. just what I need... Great contest entry.. it is a winner for sure.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review the poem for me, Echo. I very much appreciate the exceptional six star rating, my friend. But even more that that, I'm just really happy to know that you enjoyed reading it, and that you were entertained.

To me, that's the most important thing of all.

    Thanks again!

Interesting take on the monster contest. Very well presented, I like the black background color and the white font. The picture of the girl is awesome.

I like it Dean! There are two Jezebels in the Bible...one in the New Testament (false prophet) and one in the Old Testament who serves Baal and is married to King Ahab. She is the sworn enemy of Elijah and is ultimately trampled to death by horses, her body consumed by dogs. Both are bad news. You wouldn't think people would name their children after her, that's for sure. I like Biblical references in horror...the most obvious being 'The OMEN', but Stephen King uses them. I'm a big fan of that movie 'Storm of the Century' and Andre Linoge, anagram for Legion____"For we are many". I guess that was more of a mini-series initially. Anyway, as usual, I digress...and I really like the poem, the rhymes and meter...typical creepy with that added issue of Biblical relevance. I'm waiting for what you cook up on that prose contest for '666'!

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to enter the '666' contest yet, 'Lips. I broke my bank already, and I can only read and review so much to earn enough 'funny money' to adequately promote something enough where anyone will even take a look at it, much less read it. But, I'll think about it.
Thanks very much for the review. I really appreciate it...

Dean, if I see it come up, I'll check it...but I know what you're saying...and sometimes I'm in the middle of a storm somewhere.

This is a well written poem with a nice flow. The reality of how satan can appear to us in his/her seductive ways are endless. No matter how intoxicating the beginning is, the end is sure to bring destruction to the soul. The image you selected tells all.

Hi there,

Never be led astray by a wanton woman. Or be it any woman come to think of it. Anyway...

A fine flowing piece by a poet at the top of their craft.
Presentation first rate.

Very smooth with great rhyming scheme.

A monster indeed.

good luck in the contest.

Creepy illustration, poem is filled with tension . The metre and rhyme are good. It's enough to keep a man on the straight and narrow for life. Well yhought put and well written.

Well. this poem gave anyone fair warning not to mess with her! I like the menacing tone of the poem and the example of beauty on the outside does not necessarily mean beauty on the inside.

Not by a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-g shot, Linda. I've known some gorgeous women whose personalities made them seem ugly and offensive to look at. I suppose it's all a matter of perspective--what someone is looking for out of female companionship. To me, what's on the inside is far more important than outward appearances.
    Much obliged for the review.

This reminds me of the song, 'she's always a woman to me.' I enjoyed reading this poem and the picture was a good choice. Good luck in the contest and thank you for posting this poem.

.... and no you give her space (the second person this week to do so, I believe) to continue her wicked and lustful ways.

Well-rhymed and the meter is compelling as you describe this 'Monster' in human form.

Good luck.

Steve
