Very good. A simple easy to read poem. I enjoyed reading this piece, who doesn't become overwhelmed by curiosity at times. I know that I do. I could find nothing wrong with this work. Good luck in the contest

This poem got a chuckle out of me. A silver box with a lock, although the picture is a combination lock so it will be safe cracking skills you'll be needing more than lock picking skills lol. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Very good Lune, Annie. Of course the word silver can work either for colour or for contents, but in this case it works well for both.

It's good humour, and I guess a stick of dynamite isn't the thing to blow open a box of silver is it? Ha.

That's one thing I always found baffling, locks, I don't like combination ones for that reason, I'd had to have to destroy the item to get in. Well chosen words, great pic and good touch of humour. Good luck in the contest. Faye

Thanks for the explanation in the author's notes. Did any of them finally manage to open the box? Looks like there are 3 numbers needed, so a 1 in a 1000 chance,

Thanks for your comments on my entry. No, they did not ever manage to open the box until I gave them the combination but it sure kept them busy for a few hours.
