Yes, most of us have went through some abuse and have overcome. I loved the heartfelt way you wrote this to someone you care for. It tugged at my heartstrings and brought many memories of my youth. Well done

To believe is to have faith, or hope, and I found out recently if I set my goals and they're realistic, then if you believe in yourself, anything's possible. Probably not what you except from a review, but that's my take on it. Great job. Les

A rhyming poem that is fairly free with its meter. Nevertheless is simple to read aloud and the irregularities save it from becoming too humdrum and mundane. I do think that some further thought could be given to strengthening the message of the last line. An even number of syllables, either 6 or 8 would strengthen the rhythm and enable the reader to leave the poem more positively.

Well written poem, with good rhythm, rhyme and flow. I hope your victim can take your advice. It must be tough to survive abuse, but you're right, its up to the individual (although help from others may be necessary), and the first step is to believe.

It's good advice here. As you can see the word is ADVICE not advise. Advise is the verb. Advice is the noun.
It is rhyming very well, and yes you need to believe in yourself. If you said believe in yourself somewhere that also would improve the Advice.

This is yet another interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. This is a sad story of abuse, but there is hope indeed. Belief can pave the way for greatness. All we have to do is believe that we can overcome our demons. Well done.

It is a good motivational poem and it is heartening to note that the advice given by you to a victim is working. When the counselor and the victim can correlate their past experiences, empathy flows between them smoothly and results would surprise both.
