Hello Dawn
Such heartbreak here. Your music accompaniment is so gentle, poignant in its way, yet uplifting, containing love. As a mother I can emote with the words written here, so much love and loss portrayed. It is difficult not to respond to the eternal sadness which I've shared with my best friend for many years. I will respect your wishes and send my warm hugs and smiles while sharing a few hard-earned tears.
You have captured the very essence of heartbreak, I'm sure this will earn top placement. What I love is how you've expressed pain, yet in no way ask for pity. What an honour and tribute to this beautiful babe. Superb presentation and adorable image. The six is for the quality of the poem purely, not in sympathy, though of course you have that. With love dear friend - Lovi xoxo

Beautiful, heartfelt, heartbreaking. Musical accompaniment is a very good pairing to this devastating poem. My brother lost two sons three years apart. Your work struck a chord with this aunt in reading and knowing all to well the pain never leaves.

This is a fine poem for sure. One everybody who has lost anyone they love can relate to it. Don't be so quick to negate your readers' intentions. Your work is always worthy. Sweet little girl is adorable. Marilyn

Thanks, my friend - so are you saying you think I should remove the request not to vote for my poem out of sympathy? I am not assuming anything, simply saying IF that should be a consideration, don't let it - I want the poem judged on its merit and nothing else.
Yes, isn't she? Again, thanks a lot - I appreciate your feedback, and I'll look for your reply. :)

Confidence!! my girl. Yes, take it out. Let your poem stand on its own merit. Readers are smart. They know what they like. :) Hugs

Alright, but it has nothing to do with lacking confidence really - I just want to know the poem is judged on its merit only. Anyway, that's why I asked you - I respect your opinion and I'm too close to this one. I took it out - thank you, Marilyn - you're right. Readers ARE smart. Hugs back.

Great Dawn. Leave it up to them--they will know how to judge it. BTW you did mention the other day about your loss and I forgot in my reply to respond. You know, I hope, how I feel about it. Hugs--Marilyn

This is so heartbreaking. I have no words that will comfort and I won't comment on that as you requested. Very good entry and God Bless and hold you close.

Only a mother can know how much pain it is to loose a child for whatever reason. A mother is not a real mother when her heart don't bleeds when any child got hurt.

The poem is very emotional, this is reflected in both the style and presentation of the piece. A very beautifully written poem good luck in the contest. There are more things I would like to say but may be taken as being linked to content so I have held back in respect to your wishes.
