Hi Annie Dawn,
It is so very nice to get lost in writing fantasy. It truly is a little escape. You hit the nail on the head with "no misrepresentation" when writing fantasies ... I loved that line! Your poem tells it well ... why we write. Writing is so very cathartic. I could relate well to your everything that you expressed in your poem.

Lovely. Good use of rhyme, imaginative, very true of the poetic or writing process. I feel much the same way as you do. Just watch capitalisation - either follow normal rules regarding sentences, or capitalise beginning each and every line, but be consistent whichever you choose to do.

I thank you so much for your suggestion in your review but I went back and checked and cannot find a line that is not capitalized. Is there a way you can point out which one it is that you are seeing? I found another error in the poem that was not there earlier so there is a glitch somewhere. Thanks.

AnnieDawn, very strange indeed. I have just been back and it is now perfect. If I remember correctly, the 'Is' was lower case before, and there might have been one other, can't remember, but all definitely now good! Perhaps you were editing at the time and while the window was open I got the old version...

A complete mystery to me, because I know how annoyed I am when I miss something small in my writing and it just sits there.... wrong! Thought you would like to know but obviously something weird happened there. I assume I gave you five stars anyway, because you deserved them. If not, I will certainly adjust!!! Just let me know and I will see if I can go back to the review point or ask Tom the site manager how to....

A very well-written poem. We usually write about the things that capture our minds and thoughts that make us either happy or sad. When I dream or have nightmares about something I know it's time to write about it.

As writers we have all felt that "release from anxiety" that comes with creative writing. You express this nicely.. to wrap oneself in warmth is indeed a good feeling. I believe that your poem has a lot of potential if you will work a bit on what seems at times to be "forced rhyme. Nice work.

As writers we have all felt that "release from anxiety" that comes with creative writing. You express this nicely.. to wrap oneself in warmth is indeed a good feeling. I believe that your poem has a lot of potential if you will work a bit on what seems at times to be "forced rhyme. Nice work.

I am sorry that you feel that the rhyme feels forced because it was meant to be that way. Not completely rhymed but close. That is the style of some poetry. Thank you for your view as all have their opinion and all are valued. Have a great weekend.

Anniedawn, very eloquent and finely-penned poem here. Love the naturalness of the flow and the excellent rhyme and meter. Reads very well aloud. The content is something that all writers can relate to...you have explained how writing soothes your soul and creates that inner peace easily. I loved it.
