like the picture this poem paints, it is kind of fresh. You stitched in plenty of strong images, and that sold the island to me.
The tone of the voice is upbeat, so I think the form makes for a good read......

A very well-written poem about Hayman island. The island life is not meant for everyone. Some will die an early death while others will thrive and have the best time of their lives.

I must confess on first reading I thought the ocean was the subject.
I'm not sure what exactly captured my interest. The rhyme flowed smoothly and the words painted a vivid picture. And I really loved the little two liners between each verse.
And the more I read it, the more I liked it.
Hayman Island is now on my bucket list

You had an excellent daDUM daDum daDum beat goin' on here, kahpot, all the way up until line seven. It's an easy fix if you care to do it. And it won't alter the meaning of that line in the slightest:
with all my nights and all my days
the endless sun defeats the cold
it welcomes one both young and old ... See? Just add the word "both" here and problem solved.
Good personification of the beautiful Hayman Island.

Well I think it should have used to advertise that lovely resort on Hayman island (Not a very large island, but big enough for a resort) we stayed at the Airlie beach caravan park and ventured out for a day trip, highlighted by an excursion to Hooke island, I remember the colour of the turquoise water, it was beautiful!
