"Leaves crackle beneath my feet" is a great line. It appeals to the senses. Your creative and vivid use of words makes feelings and scenes come alive. Your free verse form captures the feeling of being alive and experiencing life.

This is a powerful philosophical poem with poignant words. Each line speaks volumes.
I would have preferred periods at the end of the sentences, but the lack of punctuation works fine.
I am unsure who is Andrea, but I get your point.
Good luck in the contest.

Powerful! Simply powerful! The first time I read this, the words "haunted" me. The second time I read this, they spoke to me. The third time I read this, it flowed together. The fourth and fifth times I read this, I enjoyed it more and more.
Well done my friend! ~Alec

A lovely painting that complements your longish poem very well. It is a very well written free verse. Is this the one that had to be done within 10 minutes? Plenty of qualities of a free verse in it.

MOONSUNRISE, you are to be commended for this work of art. It is difficult to pick one line in this poem that stands out more than another, because in whole each word, each line says so very much. Should I be compelled to choose a line I would perhaps embrace the following:
" I am the fountain of spiritual youth continuing to grow
Into the whimsical, wispy, protective willow tree"
As for: "I am alive, therefore I am!" You may see an analogy between, René Descartes' "I think, therefore I am" phrase.
E. Shields
Thank you for sharing this very wonderful work.

I am so thankful for your in depth review of my poem. I am so thankful for your introduction to Rene Descartes. I will definitely read more about him. I just love FanStory. I am learning so much as I work towards getting better and better with my craft.
Thanks again.

Your free verse is absolutely delightful, embracing and evoking all our sensory receptors. I could caress the words as well as see them with my eyes as I read. I could smell and hear the vivid descriptions. I could "comprehend" my Being.
Good luck with contest.

Very nice, brought up some nice imagery and rambled some distant thoughts about the wonder of just being, and to remember to take the time to be I AM.

God's greatest words...'I Am.' Love this, could be describing Christ, our higher being, or just love. All three the same. Beautiful free verse, blessings...
