This is a most endearing non-fiction story of a wonderful gift found on Facebook. Reconnecting with long-last friends and estranged family members is one of the genuine gems of the platform.

I love your conversational tone that is wistful, nostalgic and full of hope for the future all at once.

Ixchelle is a beautiful woman and she is as lucky to have found you as you are to have found her.

Football? Gridiron? It's way over my head, but a perfect centrepiece and touchdown for your bio.

I can still here (hear) that engine roar.

I am thrilled for you, Mav. :))

Exceptional!!

Wow, Ange. I'm really honoured and pleased with your glowing words. I feel pretty lucky. I'm sad about my brother in law, but I am happy that I mean something to her.

The football thing was just something funny he did that stuck with me all these years. Funny how little things make a home in our day to day beings. My Uncle Johnny had phrases I use all the time too. Just little things I say and no one has a clue where they came from. Sometimes I stop and recall, hey, that's from Uncle Johnny. Oh well, I've used that football thing for decades without really thinking directly about him. Strange.

Anyway, you are the sweetest. Thanks so much.

She's a lovely young lady. Perhaps it is your opportunity to really be grown up now
which can e a mixed blessing. It is sad not to have the support of family and friends growing older and disappearing into the past. The best therapy is being around young ones
