There is nothing more gratifying to me when I get a review where someone tells me my poetry has inspired them in some way.

I like the subject-matter of your poem. I think poetry is useful not only as a form of enjoyment, but also to teach and raise awareness.
About my creating poetry... I do try, but I don't have what it takes, so I'll stick to prose.

A very good motto to adhere to and live one's life by. if everyone only took what they truly needed, the world would be a more stable, understanding and happier place. Sadly there's a little thing called 'human nature', it seems... sigh.
Nice piece which I would expect to do well in the competition.
