So cute. A fractured fairy tale where people still live happily ever after. That is, if Snow White did not fall in love with the enchanted prince who really was a frog after all. At least this is the take on that story this time around! Cookies from the human queen mother? So only part of the royal family was enchanted? Fun read, perhaps for age 10 up.

What a fun fairytale mash-up! hints of Snow White, Cinderella, the Frog Prince, Seven Dwarfs... relationships, locations, responsibilities... There seems to be mixed up sexualities too. (I smiled at 'the former Prince') You DID have fun!
I didn't know that frogs don't eat cookies!! It was nice of the queen to make them and for her daughter to bring them down to the pond.

I had a nutty, insane great time on this one, L-M, and I'm so very glad you saw it for what it was!! ;) :) I doubt frogs would ever eat cookies.... but then, I can't see my self sitting and conversing with one either... although I have been known to talk to the beautiful ones we have in the trees around here (but they don't talk back -- just eye me suspiciously!).... thanx for the review and the smile, ma'am -- take care! ;) Yvette

Some 'writes' are very enjoyable experiences... I can see you indulged yourself hugely with this one! I can imagine the looks on those frogs faces... here she comes again.

Yvette,
Okay, here's what I'm taking away. Snow was the original amphibian in this version and Prince Charming CHOSE to kiss her and BECOME the frog - opting for a life of freedom and joy in the pond. (No meetings, public appearances, no hand-shaking and baby-kissing.)
This was a fun and unusual take on the same-ole, same-ole. Thanks!!

It was the blonde needing to completely disconnect from reality (even in a fairy tale)...how'd I do? LOL! So glad you could find some humor and not go all philosophical on me... SO refreshing!! ;) :) Thanx for YOU, Lady R -- come September, I hop you have a free Tuesday in there! Take care! ;) Yvette

This meets the contest requirements nicely as you deliver a complete story in the word count allotted. The use of a well-known fairytale to build upon is clever and I hope it works for you. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

Yeah, not holding my breath on a place in the contest, Angel -- it was just a fun write to say goodbye to the week...LOL! ;) :) The intent was to elicit a smile -- hopefully, it worked! ;) ;) Glad you enjoyed! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette ;)

This is a fun twist on an old fairy tale. I like the surprise of the prince being turned into a frog and enjoying the escape from royal responsibilities - how he builds an apparently happy life.

And this story is 'such a strange thing'. hahaha I love it. What an imagination you have! He went from prince to frog and actually has a family ... tadpoles of course.
Love this possibility. Good twist on an old story.

I think that I like your take on sleeping beauty more than the original. It could be because you use a modern approach to the story. Well written and I wish I had a six.

As always, flawless. :)) (So who is the prince in Cinderella? I forget.)
