I feel your anguish in your direct talk with God. You are a man of deep faith, yet the mystery stays a mystery.
"So when will I know that I am doing God's purpose? Is the lesson in the waiting? Is the answer in not asking why? Is the reason for the timing to fulfill your purpose?" As there is no direct reply, I guess the answer is yes. If you are asking those questions then maybe the answers are instinctively in your mind. I pray for grace, peace, and acceptance through your troubled times, staying strong in your faith.

LisaMay, thank you!

If those are your most pressing concerns
I would say your Okay. No fear of hell. No
real concerns about the state of your soul
and the risk of not getting in heaven. I'd say
you and your wife are blessed and that if you
lay hands on her and pray to heal her in Jesus
name she will be healed.

This is a super read on a Sunday. It shows that prayer can in fact progress with maturity, with more details, with more focus, and with more praise. I like the way the speaker is still asking questions which one might have asked at 50, or 30, or even 15 or 10 years of age, such as, "When will I know that I am doing God's purpose?" Great prompt response.

An excellent and thoughtful perspective very well written. God has written eternity in our hearts, truly it is better in heaven. As long and we are here we have a purpose though. There is a poem that says something like this dark threads are as needful in the weaver's skillful hand, as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned. Jesus paid the price and we receive eternal life when we put our trust in him alone not our works. If we really seek him we find him and look onto Him for all the rest. Ps, I too have known the dark night of the soul, loss and pain. We do good things because we love Him. His salvation we receive by faith he is always with us, even on our darkest days, if we just call out (pray) and believe!

Hello Writer,
A splendid piece of questions universal and answers internal.
Do things happen for a reason, or is the reason intrinsic,
a part of the fabric woven in threads of being?
Free will, freedom to rise and freedom to fall;
all those tiny steps, choices, that influence, shape, and, perhaps, determine
the steps to come.
Listen to the whispers...and you will know.
