A lovely imagery of fairies, sprites, elves and pixies. Fireflies light their way in mid-summer here. I love to sit in the veranda and watch them light up the night. Especially later on in the evening.

Oh, I do, too. Fireflies are so beautiful. Down here, we mostly call them lightning bugs. Thanks for reviewing.

Lovely choice to offer for the author's choice club challenge. And your topic of fairies one of my favorite! Fantasy is such an incredible get-a-way, especially when done poetically!

Thank you for sharing! xoxo

Thank you. I tend to think of fairies when I see fireflies, or as we call them down here, lightning bugs.

Great job with the mixed poem with an assortment of mystical creatures like elves and fairies. I'm glad they took the time to put on a special show for you. Thanks for sharing. Bill

It was a feeble attempt for the challenge, but I haven't been feeling well. Fairies came to mind. I tend to think of fairies when I see fireflies, or as we call them down here, lightning bugs.

A lovely poem about this magical sight! I don't quite understand the Cascade poem but it does make the fairies and fireflies and elf appear surprisingly in different places!

Look closely. Each line of the first stanza is repeated in the poem. I should have posted the instruction. The first line of the first stanza is the third line in the second stanza. And so on. Thanks for reviewing, and pardon me laziness in not providing notes.

This is a lovely, fanciful, vividly descriptive poem. Word choices are effective, and the style is appealing. Very creative poem accompanied by charming artwork
