Lisa May,

I like your way of going with the flow of things. If the sun moves, you adapt and move along with it. And you keep your hope with you.

Nice!

Patricia

Hi Lisa, Sorry about your cat. As they say, in every misfortune are seeds of a revival. I'm not a big fan of the 5-7-5 routine....though I get the poignantly hopeful message you have crafted. I like your humour better !

Thanks for reviewing. I'm in the process of writing another silly story about Muriel -she's a wacky character of mine who gets into ridiculous situations - that will probably be more to your taste.

If your Muriel is anything like the girl I've written about in my last poem 'Knight Chef', I'll certainly like her :)

Well done old friend. I relate as you are only just across the pond from Dinky DI Aussie and also an Aussie to boot, still I am pretty sure. We need more prose writers as you often are, in this place.

It's crazy. I'm still not used to our daylight savings time here in the US. Right as it started, everything else stopped. Spring Break was over, but schools didn't start. Churches are now all exclusively online. I'm still not converted to the new time. lol

I love that your poem was so full of hope! We can store up hope for later, use it sparingly as we need to and trust it will get better. A good reminder!

Thank you for sharing. I didn't find anything to correct or complain about. :) It was just right as written.

Blessings and stay safe,
Deb

First my condolences for your fury baby, I perfectly understand your pain. I lost my baby last year and it was very hard without her. This part hit my heart, I am amazed how you put so much emotion on this stanza ensuring a soft transition over the bridge - Adapting to change,

when sunny spot moves along,

I will go with it.

I remember seeing a film once where the homeless were huddled in a tiny spot where the sun was shining in order to keep warm in the winter. We are coming into spring as you move into autumn. A well written poem here Lisa and of course cats always have the best seat in the house, love Dolly x
