This affectionate and appreciative poem is easily related to by many of us. We have no idea what our parents are going through while we're growing up. It takes being a parent ourselves to understand all that was done and sacrificed for a family of beloved children. Best wishes in the contest, kahpot!

What a loving tribute for your mom! I think until one has kids, one doesn't realize the sacrifice that mothers have given us. I remember when my kids thought that life didn't exist before them. :))

Mother's Day Poetry Contest. What a lovely way to honor your mother. My mother died when I was ten years old but I think of her when I'm sad. Nobody can take the place of a good mom. Some women have children but they never become Mother's like ours. Well done.

You did a wonderful job through this poem (Our Mother) in honoring your mother with lovely, caring and truthful words. I wrote a poem for my mother in my second book. At the time, she had dementia, so she never got to read words from my heart. This is a beautiful poem of your love for your mother. I concur with you, I could never thank my mother for her time, care, sacrifice, and love given me. I think you showed a true daughter's feelings in your poem. Good job, Kahpot!! She would be proud of you and your writings. Great imagery used. Happy writing:-)
