This 5-7-5 suite, Truth Lies Obscured, has the proper formatting and displays the current crisis which dwarfs the virus problem: Truth has died.

An insightful poem. I like how each part works separately but also come together for the bigger picture. I particularly like the last part, truth will often lie... sad, but true in today's world

Your skepticism is very widespread these days when, as you say, there is so much "fact" cited and then recanted by "experts." The only truth I accept are the grim statistics of deaths each day and total. I especially like the sardonic tone of your second stanza. Rod

This one is definitely a poem for our time, when politicians, desperate for good news hang their proverbial hats on some very tenuous hooks. There was a book by Bechoffer Roberts, published during WW2, called The Ministry of Wishful Thinking. It was great fun and took the lid off the British Civil Service.
I think that ministry is alive and well, still stalking the corridors of powe.

Very eloquently said in your poem, LisaMay! So much untruths and lies via slanted statistics are being told on the internet and the "news" from both political leanings. Such a shame.

You nailed it--misinformation indeed! I like the punch "more names for guesswork?" I am angry that the CDC in the US has done an about-face on masks--first they say they cloth masks are not protective; next they all but mandate we wear them. Why? Turns out they're providing false assurance as a diversion tactic so people don't buy up the medical-grade masks needed by hospital staff. Cheers. LIZ

This is a very lovely poem, that contains some truth about our modern lives . I really like this part:"Truth will often lie
obscured by others with a
private agenda."
