A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about the stars that we can only see when it is dark but they are always there even when the sun shines, we can not see them in the lightened sky.

Thank you!!

That is an excellent observation! Also true is that the brightest stars in the night are the most likely to be seen.
Good luck in the 5-7-5 poetry contest!

You're very welcome, although I disapprove of this wanton flirting!

Thank you so much, Little Bird, for this awesome review and for those shining stars - they make the rain outside just that much more 'ignorable' (wink, wink!). May you have a wonderful remainder of the week with sunshine in your days and starshine in your nights!

This is a particularly powerful metaphor because of the truth in it. Indeed, the darker the skies, the more small stars reveal themselves, equally true in the night sky and the human condition, as the response to the current pandemic testifies.

You have used your seventeen sylables effectively to convey a powerful message about hope, a glimpse of light in the darkness. Good use of stars as a symbol.

In the darkest night,
even the tiniest stars
are easily seen. Nice lesson of astrology, quickly make a wish and win the contest. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next literary adventure.
