I've never read a story that began with the author's birth, that was brilliant! What a life you've had, and still having. It's been quite a road you've travelled along, and now you are still giving your time and help to fellow vets. Well done, and good luck in the contest.:)) Sandra xx

A nod of appreciation for family, a baseball over the fence is a great line... and then the years of giving back, of enjoying life after trials and tribulations which often bring one down. Overall, 150 words that point to a spirit hard to keep down!

Powerful imagery and clever phrasing--catching time by the tail and holding it...the birth trauma...Good follow through on the highlights of your admirable life. Cheers. LIZ

Awesome way of describing yourself.

It was kind of you to dedicate your bio to your grandpa.

Thank you for your service and devotion to the Vets.

WOW! I have read this over and over again so many times. First of all, the picture is ideal for this entry. It creates the perfect mood of looking back on one's life. So many can relate to sitting on a park bench and reminiscing! Great choice! Now, onto the poem. It is well structured and says so much in less than 150 words, but that's not all. The beginning of the first and second paragraph are amazing, as is the ending to the ending of the first paragraph and the ending of the entry. It's creative writing at it's very best. The change of tenses in each paragraph also add to the depth of this entry. I feel this poem when I read it. It stirs up many emotions in me. It is AWESOME, and I wish you a much deserved win in the contest. Thank you for your service and all you've done and do. Please keep writing because you are unique in style and extremely talented! Sending you lots of love and much happiness. God Bless, Cathy

Like Jim Croce, who sang "If I could put time in a bottle." Yes, it does slip by way too quickly, but then it sounds like you have and are having a meaningful time of of it. And what a meaningful picture to go with your words.

A very well-written life story in hundred and fifty words. Find is indeed a concept that moves on fast and we often wonder where did the time go so fast. Before we know we are at the end of our lives waiting fof the last hour.

You have lived an eventful life so far. This was interesting to read about some of the major events. You covered a lot of territory in a short space. Thanks for continuing to serve those in need. I wish you well in the voting--a win!

I thought you did a very good job with the 150 words you were allotted.
You didn't tell us about your schooling, but you did tell us about your time
on the battlefield. You told us what you do now. Very well done.
