Oh, God, superb visuals on this one! The venom from the string can bring you to the hospital or give you the worst allergies. I like the way you talk to the stinging bee begging her to lave you alone (lol).
I very much liked your creative last stanza:
Though your stinger gives an ouch,
Pollen gathered in your pouch
Feeds your queen.
Good luck in the contest.

I am very much allergic to bee venom and so are several family members. Lots of epi pens. Yet I have many, many pictures as I love them. Go figure. Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate the time you take to comment.

Oh no! I'm sorry that this happened to you.
I applaud you for writing such a sweetly voiced, balanced poem after this experience.
The meter is fascinating, 7/7/3 syllable lines, iambic starting with a half foot (or trochaic ending with a half :).
This adds to the playful tone, even though the subject is serious.
While you demonstrated the possible serious dangers it can pose in the 3rd stanza, you still showed their usefulness in the 4th.
Also; you clearly observed her with respect nit just fear!
Such a well written poem!
Warmly,
J

You wrote about this well and I know it can be deadly if you get stung. Of course, It is also death for the bee. This is a good write and you portrayed your point well. Nice job.

This is a cool picture and story, but I'm sorry you got stung. Are you allergic? I got stung by a wasp once between my two fingers and it was excruciating pain for hours. Best of luck in the contest.

The author's words are clear, interesting, and creative. I am sorry to
hear you were stung by the bee - going to the ER is not fun! The poem flows and connects well. I liked the last stanza which made me smile.
Hope you are having a great day!

I can feel the agonising pain of a bee sting just reading this , although it's a little humorous. Yes, honey bees we admire you but please, we beg you to buzz pass us. Simple but relateable.

I like how you still have respect for the bee, even though it has the ability to put you in the hospital!
I try to appreciate nature but I admit I'm a squealer when bees get too close!

It is ever so enjoyable to sit and watch bees FROM AFAR. I am not allergic- but I still prefer them to not be buzzing near me.
Best of luck in the Take A Photo Poetry contest.
Enjoyed!

Oh my goodness Annie, the bee sting caused you to go to hospital, how terrible, but I know the sting can be dangerous. Your poem took the sting out for me, a delightful write, love Dolly x
