I did just a little gardening this summer- tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers- Nothing. The tomatoes grew and then chose no fruit golf-ball tomatoes instead of beefsteak. The others....
I feel your pain.
I enjoyed your poem.
Best of luck with the ABC Poetry Contest.

Thank you for reviewing. Out of hundreds of blossoms there is only one squash in my garden. No bees to pollinate. They have disappeared. Yet I see many bee hives in the area. Just no bees around. Have not had to set one yellow jacket trap. They are gone too.

Our planet is undergoing some significant changes in our times - well portrayed here in some detail with the final line reminding us of the big picture and the impact

People are getting less and lesser concern about protection and nourishing of bees and butterflies; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

The heat can be a killer, fortunately we have had even temperatures where I live. I also have air conditioning and the plants and flowers are used to the heat. Your poem certainly made me hot under the collar Annie, love Dolly x

Where do you live that the heat has ruined your garden? Here in Western PA the gardens are going great. The "is" behind Destroying doesn't fit or belong there.

I appreciate your review and comment. The line is in the past tense so "Destroyed is all I planned to eat or sell." It could, to prevent confusion, have "Destroying what I planned to eat or sell." So either way it would work. Thanks for your pointer. By the way, eastern Washington has been in the three digits the past few days. Unusual and my vegetables are suffering.

A very well-written ABC poem about the heatwave in your area that destroy so many things that even the bees cannot find something to produce their honey and it seems they are giving up trying.

In the UK we've been suffering from a long heatwave but thankfully it has been raining for the last couple of days and the temperature has dropped. A well written piece. I enjoyed reading it. Good luck in the contest!

Your poem is timely. We are having the same results. I am in Canada.
The grass is brown because we are lacking a few good rainfalls. Your presentation is quite apt. The chosen art is good.
