You are right in your author's notes, this is "a very worthy read." I like the line that goes, "reinvent those distant goals," with the sound-alikes of "those" and "goals," as well as the next line, with the internal rhyme, of "thought" and "cannot," too. And finally, the last line, that says, "remind yourself the world's still yours." This too has the sound-alikes of "world's" and "Yours," which are very pleasant sounding. The meaning and message are clear. Invest in yourself, and your ultimate goals, can be and most possibly, will be fulfilled. Thank you for letting me stand on my soapbox and preach. I am most certainly preaching to the choir.
Have a great week,
Jesse

I am glad you accept my preachings. As far as the accidental rhyme, as far as that goes, I do it all the time. See? I just love rhyme so much I use it freely in everything I write. I am glad you find value in my reviews.
Have a good day,
Jesse

Value is something I can rely and always depend on, never will I disregard that

This poem deserves six stars in my opinion for the subject. You display such optimism and enthusiasm for life despite age. You are raring to go at an age that others (presumably) are slowing down. And you write it so well. It is a poem form I don't know well, but it is pleasant and lends itself to resolutions and exhortations.
Potential SPAG for your consideration
never to late > never too late
