I always have a chuckle when I read, Cruella, LOL. Thank you, Iza, for this lovely review. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying the story. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

This is a very compelling chapter. You're right that your writing is going to have times of high drama and then some lulls, and as readers we expect that. Great work with your characters. It's so understandable that Jose would want to go with them to rescue Anna, but Grant's probably right that he's not up to it. Grant will hopefully make good on his promise to rescue her. Great description of the aftermath of the storm. judi

Thank you so very much for this lovely review, Judi, and for the shiny sixth star. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this part. It needed a lull after the last two chapters. Lol. Sending you a big hug, my friend. :) Sandra xxxx

You're very welcome. As Charles Dickens advised, "Make 'them laugh, make them cry, make them wait.

Sandra:

I can only imagine how poor Jos'e is feeling - his family was threatened to coerce him to attempt to do something he did not want to do. Now he is being asked to remain behind and trust that someone else is going to bring his wife and children safely home to him. He must be worried sick. Perhaps Colin and his mom will get their comeuppance soon.

Hi Jan. I had to try and put myself in his position, I'd want to go and probably would kick up a stink if I was told I couldn't. But I had to be practical here. Lol. I'm glad you enjoyed this part, thank you so much for your nice comments. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Another great continuation chapter, Sandra. At least Tania, Latifah and little Peanut are okay. Poor Monica is beyond her temperament until she finds Tania safe and sound. Jose honestly felt that he had no choice because he wanted Anna and their children safe. He was prepared to go with Grant and the men until they talked him down. This was an interesting chapter as the men were concerned about his wife and children and wanted to do their best to protect them. Wow, this was amazing. Well done. Hugs, smiles and blessings.

You did a great job with this chapter, Sandra. I like the descriptions of the aftermath of the hurricane. Your words are well thought out and paint a great picture for readers. I enjoyed the conversation of the group when Monica and Tania and all met for the first time. You did a great job detailing how Jose was injured, and how the others are trying to help his family.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

I think a husband and father would be terribly worried about his wife and kids anyway, but he's a wounded man, and they'll have to get him to a hospital. All Grant's men plus Monica make to the island, the weather is placid and friendly, well done Sandra, good writing, blessings Roy

Thank you so much, dear Roy. I'm glad you liked this part, it was pretty basic as life sometimes is. But, it gave them time to breath and chat about the next plan. You are right about Jose, he'd be no good to anyone in his condition. Warm hugs, dear friend. Sandra xxx

I like the happy reunion of the friends. And you show Jose's strong protective instincts. I'm just not sure I would want him left behind with Tania. And who will stay to protect her when they are going to get Rapier? Guess Monica will be with her and Latifah.

Comments
'Of course! Did you even have to ask?' (This question/reply happened so far after five descriptive paragraphs - excellent descriptions - that it was hard to remember why Tania said this.)

raising her eyebrows in a questioning look at Jeff. (Why did Monica look questioningly at Jeff? Does she not agree with Peanut having only Latifah's good looks?)

I did think that perhaps Tania's reply came too far down, I'm going to change that now. The questioning look was a tease from Monica to Jeff. She's broody. I can't say more at the moment. (but I'm sure you can guess????) lol.
I don't think Jose would be a match against an angry Monica. But he never wanted to kill Tania in the first place and now that the team are off to rescue his family, he'll be fine, except for his natural fear for his wife and children.
You've brought up some great queries here, and I'll be sorting them out this morning. Thanks so much, Helen. Sending you a warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm glad that our "broody" gals Tania and Monica have met just the right men now!
    Thanks for answering my questions!

A roller coaster of emotions throughout the entire chapter... Happy but sad... brave but worried... love and hate... all wrapped into one neat package. Loved the story and how it is unfolding. The gang is back together and they have a mission... Jose isn't too happy but he understands. wonderful as always. Smiles and hugs, Carol

Thank you so much, dear Carol. Yes, they are all back together again, with another mission to solve. Where is Rapier hiding Anne and her children, and can they find them in time. Only time will tell! lol Thank you for another lovely review, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Lordy, Colin and his mother will stop at nothing, even kidnapping innocent people and promising to hard them to get what they want. I don't see how Grant is going to solve this, but I'm sure he and the rest of his crew will figure it out. Meanwhile, I'm on the edge of my seat.

Lordy!!! Lol, I'll have to bring them back one day. I've quite missed them. Thanks so much, dear SATP, for another lovely review. I'm hoping that the team will come up with a good idea and let me know! Lol. Love you lots, my dear sister. :)) Sandra xxxx

-An excellent chapter, Sandra.
-Good descriptive detail of the
aftermath of the hurricane.
-It is a lot "calmer than the
previous chapters!"
-Tania has done an excellent
job taking care of everyone.
-It was nice to see the reunion
of Monica and Tania, and the
arrival of the extra help with the team.
-I like the scene when they all
met the new arrival.
-The ending section is very good, too,
and we can empathize with Jose wanting
to go along, but it is good he didn't.
-The men can do what they need to
do, and keep everyone as safe as possible.
-I imagine the next section or two
is going to get very interesting!!
-Well done, my friend.

Thank you so very much, Pam, for this lovely, detailed review that you always give me. You are a real confidence booster! I'm like an acter standing in the wings knowing I'll have to go on any moment now and scared I mess it up. Waiting for the first reviews is a bit like that. Yes, a lot quieter this time, but not for long. I'm just waiting for Grant to tell me his plan, and then I can tell all of you! LOL. Thank you, dear friend, for the golden star, it does look so pretty. Sending you the biggest hug, and lots of love. :) Sandra xxxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. I like your comment about feeling like an actor; I hadn't thought of it that way. I think Grant will have a very good plan, and he has a lot of help, too!
