Oh dear! I don't think the interrogation is going well. Maybe it's time for Ben to "nibble" on him. I'm glad that Jose could help Peter take down Rapier. In a way, it would help his already pained conscience.

Thank you, Helen, for another of your lovely reviews! (and for not paying me back and changing my name! LOL) I had to let Jose do something to help, as you say, it might help him deal with his pained conscience. Thanks, my friend! Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

This is excellent. You did a great job of leading up to this chapter by describing Rapier's fear of dogs previously. Now he's confronted by two German Shepherds who wouldn't mind taking a piece of him. The dogs are well trained. Too bad Sam was wounded, but it looks like he will be okay. Rapier tries to put on a brave front, but the dogs have him under control. Great chapter, and you did a great job with the action. judi

What a lovely review, Judi! Thank you so much. I wouldn't have had Rapier kill one of the dogs, if anyone was going to die it would have been him. :)) Now to find out what he knows about the traitor! Thank you, my friend, for the golden sixth star, I really appreciate both your review and those. I'm smiling big-time! Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

Rapier is finally caught! It was a surprise that Peter and the dogs were the ones to do it ... along with Jose, of course, to finish it off. You have drawn up a good character with Rapier. It's hard to imagine someone as evil as he. That calls up your superb skills as a novelist, Sandara.

watching the dogs froliking [Is that English spelling? In the U.S. it is "frolicking"]

By the way, "Scout and her Magical Unicorn" finally got here two days ago. I was just about to call Amazon and chastise them for how long it was taking and then it showed up. That would have had Amazon quaking, wouldn't it? Has Scout got her copy yet? She had to have been/will be thrilled. You did such a professional job. I was astounded. I don't think I want to spoil it with my crayon-work.

Hi Jay, firstly, thank you so much for your very complimentary review of this chapter, that and the golden sixth star has my day starting with a smile! :))

Frolicking was a spelling mistake, and I'm grateful to you for pointing it out, I have corrected it now.

You have totally made my year with your praise of my children's book, thank you so very much for that! Lol, I can just see Amazon 'quaking'. My granddaughter and her parents are coming for a visit this coming weekend, and I can't wait to give Scout her book. I'm always nervous watching for their reactions. I was the same with Eric's adventure books. As for spoiling your copy by colouring it, I'm sure you will only make it that much nicer!

Jay, I can't thank you enough for the gift of this lovely review. Thank you, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Another great continuation chapter, Sandra. I enjoyed the fact that Ben and Sam were able to sniff out and ultimately cause Rapier's capture. Poor Sam got shot but at least it went clear through. Jose was happy about his family, his Anna and children and was more than willing to help Peter. Rapier was captured but did manage to taunt Grant with the fact that his mother, Marilyn laughed about his potential demise. Grant did tape the conversation as evidence. Great job, very much enjoyed, blessings, hugs and smiles.

Thank you, Alie! I'm glad you enjoyed this part. Sam and Ben are great dogs, I do have a love of German shepherds, they are so loyal and loving, and very protective of their owner. :)) Thanks for this lovely review, my friend. Have a wonderful week. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

You are most welcome Sandra. If Jim could find a smaller version of a German Shepherd he'd get one in a heart beat. He had two before we met. Sallie was the first dog I ever had, it has always been cats. Now that she has been gone just over a year, I miss her so much but with our live style it doesn't make sense to get a big dog. You as well have a wonderful week. Hugs. Alie.

I know what you mean about the size of them, we couldn't have a large dog in our new home. I lost my cat a while ago, and miss her terribly, too. She wasn't ill, just fell asleep when my back was turned! I cried for days. I'm sure people thought I was mad, but she was my little girl. xxx

Oh, I agree with you, they become a dear part of our family and having worked in hospice I am so glad that people finally recognize the loss of pets.

I think you've created a splendid villain here Sandra, the very thought that this well named Rapier person could hate so much without cause is terrifying, and yet they exist, quite definitely the devil's spawn, a wonderful book, and a marvellous episode. Well done Sandra, blessings Roy

Aw thank you, Roy! There are people like Rapier around, unfortunately, who don't care a jot about other people. Thank you so much for this lovely review, and that golden star, my dear friend. Warm hugs, and much love, Sandra xxx

Sandra, I loved it! Such a tough guy afraid of dogs, killer dogs, but still dogs. Poor Sam. This was a perfect way for him to be caught. Now I can't wait to hear what Rapier has told them and what else he had to say. Nice way to leave us hanging! Have a good week my friend! Sally

Captivating--so glad they caught the monster--but as usual, you wrap one thing up and then tantalize with the billion-dollar question. I recall early hints of a traitor in their midst!

from end of prior chapter: The sight of Peter walking across the lawn with the German Shepherds [OMIT COMMA] hit him like a cannonball to the chest.

hyphenate "hate-filled" (eyes .... and
"billion-dollar" (question

Hi Liz, thank you so much for this really helpful review. I've sorted out the corrections, I'm always forgetting to hyphenate mine, yet I always spot others when I review them. Thanks for telling me about them. Now we wait to find out who the traitor is. I'm really pleased you enjoyed this part, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

I tend to over-hyphenate (perhaps I just did!)

Sandra,

I liked this chapter - man, there was so much going on. I guess I have missed more than I realized lately. Ugh. That nasty mother. Who makes mothers who end up being so nasty??? Oh, wait. YOU do. hahaha

Thanks!

LOL!!! But I'm a lovely mum, ask my sons, they'll tell you, once I've bribed them. Lol. I just had this mother in my mind when I started the story. We always have the wicked father. Thanks, Robyn, I'm glad you liked this part. I'm heading in the direction of tying things up for the ending. Warm hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxxx

-A very good chapter, Sandra,
that deals with a few different issues.
-First and foremost, everyone is
safe, and the dogs are doing an admirable job.
-It was a shame that one got the bullet,
but it seems like it will be okay.
-The main thing is everyone is fine,
and no one was hurt.
-Monica and Tania had the sense to
get inside, and I was glad Peter wasn't
alone once Jose arrived.
-But first, Tania had done an admirable
job fixing up Sam; it seems like
she should have been a nurse!
-I feel bad for Jose that he has the
feelings he does, but hopefully, he
will eventually be able to forgive himself.
-You certainly leave us with a big
cliff hanger, and whatever Rapier said
must have been horrible.
-Finally, I am very glad there
wasn't a lot of detail about the
events that went down, but I
imagine Rapier's words were
just as bad, if not worse.
-The next move by Grant and
the team will be very interesting.

Thank you so very much for this incredible review, Pam. I'm so pleased you liked how I put it over. I didn't want to go too much into detail because leaving it to the readers imagination is by far the best way to handle things. They probably do a much better job than I would!! Lol. Now we wait to learn who gave away the secret of where they were. That will be interesting. Thank you so much for the golden sixth star, that is so nice of you. Sending you a humongous hug, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. You were right to leave it to the reader's imagination, and some would have really gotten into it. But I was very happy not to:):) Not only will the secret be interesting, but the whole outcome of this despicable threesome of Rapier, Colin, and the mother will be too!! And then's there Grant and Tania, and Monica and Jeff❤❤❤

Don't you just love dogs and the loyalty they display when the chips are down. Who was the stool pigeon? Someone very close to Grant I would assume. Well done, Sandra! NAncy:)
