He eagle is such a perfect symbol of what America can and should continue to be. Our plight now consists of many different challenges. We need to make that eagle proud and FIGHT!

The wings of an eagle fully extended, assists greatly in long distance flight that lasts for an extended amount of time. If our faith in God is likened to the fully extended wings of an eagle, we will be able to serve God successfully for a very long time. Good poem, I like it.

I enjoyed reading this contest entry. It describes eagles very quickly and accurately. Eagles are such majestic, powerful, and beautiful birds. Thank you for sharing this with us and good luck.

I agree that the flight of an eagle makes one want to fight as problems arise to defend our nation. I worry that the same feeling is not being felt the same way in our new generations coming up. I worry about our nation.

The eagle represents power and supremacy in the world of birds and as a metaphor. Their strength and wingspan help them to soar at high altitudes, above the plights below. A message for all to have perseverance in striving to overcome one's plight, individual or national.

I love our nation's bird; I can think of no better national treasure than the eagle. It was a beautiful poem; one certainly fit for his 'Two Line Poem' contest. Great job!
