I felt the chill in these words and I just loves the transition here from Autumn to winter, you made is sound like winter is breathing down our neck with a cold and chilling frost! I just loves this atmospheric write Sally, love Dolly x

Hi Sal.

Good luck in the contest. I'm not a fan of snow. Every day without snow is a good one. We have a steep driveway that is impassible with snow.

    I know because I lived up north for many years. This is in praise of the first snow which I think is so lovely. It is very difficult to live in it for a long period of time especially with children. However I think it?s so pretty when it?s just on the field by the house where are used to live ready for sledding. Sending my very best today as always, dear Z. Sally:))

Very pretty set up and presentation provided for this poem, Swnow has away of helping mother nature putting a blanket of snow to cover imperdectiond in the work giving us a new lease on life come spring.

That is a good picture of you and your husband. I enjoy reading your work. I do not understand poetry well but enjoy reading some. Roy and a few others do well also. Burr- it makes me shiver

That is a beautiful piece of accompanying art Sally and it works perfectly with your cleverly penned Haiku.
I loved the visuals of this one which is what haiku are supposed to be about, well done my friend and good Luck!

Thank goodness there hasn't been any of that white stuff around here yet. Everyone saying how beautiful it is: me shaking my head with a frown. There is nothing pretty about ice and snow; unless, you can stay inside and view it from a rocker in front of a fireplace with a cup of cocoa, listening to Burl Ives. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

    I believe you?re from Ohio, right? I lived in upstate New York for eight years and I really enjoyed the first snowfall. With my three young boys in tow, there was no staying inside and on many days and I attacked the day in my four-wheel-drive Honda station wagon. We owned a toboggan. We have since returned to Florida. Smiles?.
