I love trees. I've let them grow in my back yard. The birds nest in them and even better the tree frogs move in. We have a huge silver maple in the front yard. Excellent cool shade. We have an off grid cabin deep in the woods surrounded by mature trees. Good Job.

is beautiful. Then your equally beautiful words described the
proud tree so well. Super job with the complex style, too. I
like the way you formatted the lines into the two verses. The
first one gives readers its history, then the second one tells
of its value as your yard guard. Your lines and words are well
chosen with smooth flow and great imagery. This is one of your
very best poems of all.
