...lurching from one disaster to the next, with health, weather, war etc. We need to stay on praying ground, therefore I shall certainly pray for your community's situation, Wendy. This is an interesting story to see how well organised you have to be, to help as well as look out for your own family's needs.

(Raising the Warragamba Dam wall seems to be a good idea, but there are all sorts of wider ramifications.)

They have talked about it for years. They still need to NOT build on the flood plain though. Ironically, it's not that long since they built the desalination plant and reactivated it only four years ago, as the water levels in the dam were then disastrously low, and Sydney faced running out of water! There were very severe water restrictions.
Unfortunately once again this flooding is right down the east coast.
(I'm on at the Evac Centre tomorrow and Thursday, so far, but maybe more shifts if necessary).
