Hi Sandra, don't know what I'm going to do with you...

I'm so sorry your still having trouble with the reactions...
but I can tell you my amazing friend...if it makes you
feel better...pretty much everyone I know who had it...
shots or not...are still feeling it years later...

my fingers are still numb...and I get awful taste in my
mouth...can use Vic's...bad allergic reaction from it...
what works for me...I love the peppermint hard candies...
and I carry them everywhere...and Donatta's daughter in
Texas has had covid three times...and the shots...she said
her smell has never gotten to where it was before covid...

go get your eye test and see if they can find out why you
are getting headaches...

the doctor told me it could take longer than a year for the numbness to go away...so eat your Wheaties...and lots of
protein foods...I'll email you in a couple days for a
update...

Oh and if your still feeling out of breath...it might not
be a good idea for you to be in the house while it's being
painted...

Thank You for the update beautiful you...and I so love this picture...sending you more love and hugs right back at you... ð???ð?¤?ð???ð??¼ð??? Linda xxoo

Hi Linda, I'm a lot happier now I know what has been going on with m body. I'm the type of person that imagines all sorts of nasty illnesses when something hurts. Now I know I have cataracts in my eyes and cab have laser treatment once they are thick enough, and it wasn't a brain tumour!!!! I was getting the headaches because I was straining to see. What it is to grow old. I'm never one to do things gracefully! LOL. I'm getting new glasses in two weeks time. I'll put a photo of me on here when I've got them.

This Covid lark, is not fun, I had it three times too, and I had all the three shots, and boosters. And then it leaves me with Long Covid! I think it like my old body so much it doesn't want to leave!

The numbness in your fingers must be so frustrating, not being able to feel things you touch. And now you've been told it could last over a year! That's not a good forecast, is it? At least, like me, we know it will end ONE day!

The paint Graham has bought has no smell to it, so it won't be too bad. I'll be in another room when he does our lounge. He's already thought of that, and since my long stay in hospital, he won't take any chances and won't let me do much.

I love the smell of Vic, but it didn't work for me with this ghastly smell. What a shame you had a reaction to it. It's the one joy of having a chest infection, I can rub Vic everywhere! Lol.

I'll look out for you email, my sweet friend. Love you lots. :)) Sandra xxxxxx

Hi Amazing, I'm like you...I like to know
what is going on inside here...

    I don't imagine what's brewing inside me...
I figure in time time it will show it's ugly
    self...but it's funny...when it comes to
family and friends...I want them to get to
a doctor fast...and do something about it...

never thought you had a brain tumor...but it could have explained why you could never
complete the last sentences at the end of your chapters...hmmmmm...

like you I have a cataract...it's in my right eye...for pretty much 20 some odd years...
and when I would drive to Florida...by the end of the day...I would have headaches...
so I went to a doctor by Kristy...I got glasses...and it was much better...can't wait to see yours...

don't want to burst your bubble...they told me the numbness in my fingers would end some day as well...they just didn't know in what lifetime...it's very irritating...try holding a nail with a numb thumb and finger...or pick up a coin...or turn a page in a book...you turn 5 pages at a time...or go grocery shopping...like it's not hard enough opening
one of those thin plastic bags to put banana's or something in...makes ya crazy...
wonder what it looks like to people when I'm standing there in a hamburger soft sock...and can't feel my fingers...good look...

I didn't know they sell paint with no smell...I got some with a low VOC...but it still had a strong smell for me...I'm glad Graham is on top of it....what a sweetheart he is...

and it's funny with the Vic's...when we were kids...if we got colds and flu's...mom would bye those Vic's tubes things...you stuck them in your nose...and inhaled them...all six of us kids would be walking around the house with them sticking in our noses...we liked the smell...now I can't get close to the stuff...has to do with my allergies...or what ever their calling it now...an autoimmune problem...

    I'll email when I get home from babysitting...love you much...smiling back at you...xxoo 😘🤗💗🌼🌺

I really think you should have been a comedian on stage, Linda, you have Graham and me in stitches laughing so much. You are a joy to read. I should copy and paste your replies, and then when I'm feeling really down again, I could just read some of them and I'd soon be laughing again. You keep me sane, my friend. And I do love you such a lot. 😂🥰

Chloe came and took me out for brunch, yesterday. she is such a lovely granddaughter, inside and out. She is such a tonic, like you, she makes me laugh.
Let's both pray that the doctor/nurse who told you the numbness in your fingers go in this lifetime! Lol. It's funny, I was wondering how your fingers would affect typing on here. And you answered my question before I asked. I hadn't thought of all those other things.

I just had an idea, and checked it out and have sent you an email. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Got to go and get dressed now and do a bit of work. Love you lots, my dear friend. Check your email. xxxxx Sandra xxx

the numb fingers(and thumb) are on my left hand...so if the left hand has trouble with those fingers...and thumb...the right hand comes to the rescue...

I'm so glad I can make you and Graham laugh out loud...and I love you to many...🥰🥰🌼🤗🤗💝

I'm glad you and Chloe went out for brunch...those are memories never forgotten...laughs always heard...

I cherish the trips my granddaughter and I took when she turned about 7...we did it for about six years...we would go to Kristy's in Florida...memories never forgotten...

I answered your email...Thank You so much...
love you my amazing friend...Linda xxoo

Your story is honest and informative. Sorry you have to deal with long Covid. That's rough. I found two typos. "Even putting a thick glob of 'Vic' under my nose it can't stop it." The first it shouldn't be there. Also, "listening to my whinging" has an extra letter in there. I hope you start to feel better sooner than later.

Thank you, Mintybee, for your kindness. I took out the 'it' thank you for that. Whining and whinging are two different words in UK English. Whining is from animals, pets trying to get more treats out of us, and also an engine/motor whining. Whinging is what we say when someone is moaning, complaining, that sort of thing. I've learned a lot about the differences between our different countries. Both English speaking but with differences. Thank you, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding of "whinging." My grandmother was from England, but as she living in Canada with us most of the time, I got accustomed to her using different spoken words, not different written words. We in Canada have an odd mix of British and US English to work with.

I can imagine that could be quite confusing. The English language is hard enough without the added complications. I used to say to my hubby, I was born amazingly clever having learnt the English before I went to school! Lol.

I glad you have provided a really clear and informative description of the symptoms of Long-Covid. I hope and pray you will not have to deal with this illness much longer.

I'm terrified of this illness since I have an autoimmune disorder. I was exposed once, when I flew to visit my daughter and she tested positive the day after I arrived. I had to stay in a hotel until time for my flight home.

Thanks for sharing this update.

Oh my goodness! No you definitely do not want Covid. This one keeps mutating, and I've just heard we might need to wear our masks again. I do, anyway, but it's worrying. We need some scientist to come up with a cure to get rid of it altogether. Keep safe, my friend. :) Sandra xx

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling with long Covid, Sandra. I've been lucky enough to escape Covid so far; more than anything, I'm afraid of the continuing symptoms of this dreadful virus.

I hope your symptoms improve soon, and that you feel like writing once again.

xx
Pam

Thank you, Pam. I doubt there has ever been a virus like this one. It doesn't seem to want to disappear. It just keeps mutating.
I'll be writing soon, I get withdrawal symptoms when I don't! Thanks, Pam. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

I'm sorry that you've got long Covid, I've heard it's rather nasty, but at least you can rest knowing you're not in the "more serious" category, thank you, it gives something to pray about. Beautifully written, Blessings Roy

You're right, Roy, now I know what's happening, I can cope with it. I just need to rest more, as I've been told that resting helps the system recover. I guess it's just one of those things we have to do more of, as we get older. Thank you, Roy. Prayers are always the best medicine. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

Sandra, I am sorry to read about all your troubles. This long covid is getting to be a real pain for lots of folks. I just turned seventy-seven, and the old adage about 'old age ain't for sissies' is so true. I am wishing you the best! Terry.

Hmm. I didn't hear any whining just info we all should know. I love all the words you use when you post other than your stories.

"See him six monthly now."
"Drives me potty."
"Old age lark."

I'm not making fun because I really want to start talking like this! Hahaha!

I can't wait for the next book, Sandra. Feel better!

Best, JohnC

Oh, I'm glad you like the way I speak, I think most of my characters have a little bit of me in them. Lol. Thank you, John. Now I know what has been making me feel so ill, I can cope a bit more. But I'm going to do more to help myself get better, faster, by trying to increase my walking. I can't walk far at the moment, it effects my breathing. Thank you, my dear friend. Love Sandra xx

When did you have Covid? It has been 2 1/2 years since I was hospitalized with it and I still have some problems. Fortunately, my taste is fine, but the vertigo, the foggy days - which are much less often now--, the tiredness, the shortness of breath and the tinnitus are annoying. I don't have a voice problem and I attribute the aches and pains to arthritis.

I wish you recovery -- too late to wish you a speedy one. lol.

I am glad you shared your experience. ann

I had Covid three times last year. The last one made me very ill. I've never really recovered, but I will get there in the end. Thank you, Ann, I'm glad you are getting better. It does take a long time, doesn't it? Warm hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx
