'Super Mum' indeed! What a wonderful Mother's Day story. (I hope you are being spoilt rotten today to honour your own role as a caring Mum.)
This phrase stood out for me: 'the necessity and the privilege'... if only more people could see how nurturing young people and creating family bonds is part of being a successful society in which we all have responsibilities and rewards. This compassionate couple - and their own children - embody the spirit of loving connection.
It was horrifying to read about the lingering effects of addiction.

Thank you for your very thoughtful review. Yes, these little ones born already addicted don?t have much chance. Such a shame that people don?t think of the long-term consequences of their actions, even through the generations. But there are some happy success stories fortunately. And these two have spent their lives showing love and care.
