AM/FM radio has preceded such things as MTV, Spotify, YouTube and others. Through it all, the younger generation have created a group of pop stars who have earned millions of dollars. Meanwhile some of the very earliest fans of Rock and Roll, R&B, Jazz, and yes even country, now roll their eyes and try to act like the music they grew up with was so much better. When really it was just different. I foresee the very same thing happening with the next change to occur with popular music.
