I enjoyed the rhythm, rhyme and content of your Halloween poem.I haven't a favorite stanza because I like them all. Your references are so descriptive that you had no need to actually use words like cat or vampire. Well done.

I heard a shriek and took a peek
and there was Creepy, Casper's son...

I'm just a soft and little child,
and verse like this is simply wild
so I'll be up tonight ('til dawn)

This is stunning! Your rhythm is super-tight and the rhyming scheme (including the internal rhyme) gives the piece such melody. The visual image you chose to accompany the piece is also really impactful. I really, really enjoyed this read. Very clever. Good luck in the contest!

Very cool Halloween poem! Love the rhyming scheme which you did so well at! Maybe not read that to the kids before they go. Trick-or-treating LOL having said that.
