I thought this was wonderful. Your writing is a wonderful tribute to Jack Flynn and everyone that served during World War II. If you need a reminder why they are called the greatest generation - your writing definitely helps share why! I thought this was well written. The descriptions of Jack Flynn's experience as a prisoner was especially well written ad you share the hardships that they faced so well. Great job!

Thank you Michael for your kind words. . The past several years of research have brought me closer to Jack and the other men. I have reached the final hurdle. Now all I can do is pray the DPAA will disinter four sets of remains. I know they will identify the four.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Jack and those men are all family to me. How Jack managed to live a normal life after all he experienced is beyond me. Especially since my wife was born on the same month and day that he was shot down. So while they celebrated her birthday. He had to remember that day year after year. Thank you again!

This is quite an epic story of war and the suffering endured. Great sacrifices were made during WW1 and WW2 and we must never forget those who gave their lives and those who endured the terrible atrocities in war. As you say, these stories should be told as the youth of today have no idea how lucky they are. Your post is rich with detailed information and a joy to read, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for the kind words. This has been several years of research to get to this point. All a labor of love. I have reached the final hurdle. Now all I can do is sit back and pray the DPAA will disinter and identify the last four crew members. Thank you very much for the high rating.

I cannot thank you enough for the review and the rating. This story and those men mean the world to me. Any chance I can get to tell their story I am on it. I do not want them to be forgotten. The families of the six men that did not survive, suffered. Especially the family of the four that were not identified. I have worked hard and given as much information as I could to get the Department MIA/POW Accounting Agency to disinter all four sets of remains for identification. Plus providing them with the contact information for the surviving family members. Now all I can do is wait and pray. It can take six months for them to decide. They are a tremendous agency that unfortunately have more work than they can handle. They are no doubt underfunded. Thank you again for the review and the rating!!

This is an excellent non-fiction war story. It is an amazing story of a terrible time in our history. I really appreciate you sharing it. It should be a winner in the non fiction contest.
