This is a beautifully written poem. It has a great flow and rhyme. I remember well the golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you. God's love, forgiveness and respect Good manners we should all expect
Kindness is always the right tool.To follow the great Golden Rule.Great photo to compliment your words as well.

I enjoyed this poem about the "Golden Rule." I am afraid I have been guilty of not following this rule at times. Your poem was lovely, though, and we should all follow the Golden Rule. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Dear Jessi, I appreciate your very special words for the golden rules and my poem.
I know we are all human and fall short, but kindness and caring go a long way. Thanks for always being that kind of person to me.
Love, Debi

When one of my first graders would act out towards somebody, I would ask, "How would you feel is somebody did that to you?" Of course the answer was always they wouldn't like it. Then I'd use it as a teachable moment. I'm not sure that would work with today's children. Your poem and presentation are wonderful.

As always, your kind heart is showing in your clever verses about how one should act in following the Golden Rule. I have no doubt that you have always followed it.

Hey Debi, that's a nice song that you put on from YouTube, to go along with the poem you've written. I've never heard that song before but it's very good and fitting. Thank you for taking the time to create a rhyming poem that exhorts us to become the person we really truly in our heart want to be. Most people we know don't want to be unkind, it's just that there are so many invitations in life to become self-centered. As a former teacher, you may possibly have missed an opportunity to give us an assignment. "Read this every day before getting out of bed!" Then: "Follow it!"
I'm just saying. L. O. L.

A lovely reminder of something everyone seems to have forgotten these days. Everyone is out for themselves these days and gives no thought to the other person. If they only remembered another rule. You get more flies with honey than with vinegar. thanks for sharing.

Dang, I'm sorry about your friend. There is nothing worse than feeling like there is no other way out of a terrible situation. For those who don't understand how it feels to be completely broken, it seems cowardly. But it isn't. It's just sad beyond words. This is a good reminder to take care when you deal with people. It's not so hard to be a decent human being. Gretchen

Debbie, my dear, you've written a poem that should make us all of us stop and pay attention. And I must say that, there are many who should carry a printed copy of it around in their purse or pocket to remind them of what they should already know. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Indeed, indeed, to your title and its description.
Good rhymes and rhythmic reading flow.
An inspirational, motivational poem of common welfare--and common sense. Well written.

Hi Debi. This is a well written poem. I'm sorry to hear about a friend taking their life. This is so sad, Life is so hard. The Golden rule is what we should live by. Can you imagine if everyone treated each other with kindness ? When Jesus comes back, we will live like that. Love the video. Great job love, Brenda.
