You're right, Barry children need to explore, to build, use their imagination and get outside like this youth who built himself a BMX track, or that's what I could picture. Good luck in the contest Barry.
Cheers

A fun story, well written. There is a small park at the end of our street, with a patch of dirt big enough for a bike track, and the local kids built one with curves and humps and twists and enjoyed it very much during Covid lockdowns. They weren't too close to each other, and were permitted outside. They had so much fun there, and it was like a step back in time. Best wishes for the contest.

This reminds me of my youngest grandson, Barry. He loved making jumps for his various vehicles. His two older brothers were never as daring. He made it to adulthood without too many bumps and bruises.

Thanks for your review Paul. Glad you enjoyed the read. Seems as though your grandson was a bit like myself in earlier days. Loved bike riding and the track was great until they cleared the land it was on. A house went up instead.
Keep well and have a great day.
Regards
Barry

Roy,
Thanks for your review and your recollection of your days as a race caller. Yes, I used to come off quite regularly myself. Those days I bounced much better than I do now.
Take care and have a wonderful day.

I quite agree. All our grandchildren have bikes and skateboards and the like. The oldest just got his first car. I think bikes prepare is for the wheeled journey of life.
A wonderful post my friend. All my best for the flash too.
