well, I guess the only reason she beat you, running, is because of your clodhopper-like work boots.
Another funny episode in the ongoing saga. And the Amish may have more action, but you are a musician!
By the way, your descriptions are hilarious. I'm sure Gretchen appreciates and enjoys them.

You are so right, Katharine!! Why, if I'd been in my stilettos, I'd have left that girl in my DUST!!!

I hope you're also reading her side of our tale. She's a FANTASTIC storyteller, and you won't want to miss out on her take.

Thanks for a really nice review. I always love reading what you send me. xoxox

Brilliant work here, Rachelle. I could feel the thunderous hooves pounding the ground, but best of all, I was able to visualize those clodhopper boots, lol. Snakes don't bother me much. I enjoyed the reactions from you and Gretchen. Man, I didn't realize how fast Gretchen could run. I'm about to check her version out. This was a stellar performance, young lady.
God bless,
Steve

You wicked thing, mentioning those boots! hahahaha. Thank you for this super great review. I love the way you are very specific with what "lands" with you, as a reader. That is immensely helpful as I get ready each week to write the next chapter. xoxo

My pleasure, Rachelle. When I'm reading the story, I get excited about specific things and want to share, lol.

Wait a minute ... it's not 11:00 yet and you've posted already. You must have plans that take you away from your computer:-)

So Gretchen could beat you in a foot race - good to know. But Joe Pie-Weed and Bird-in-Hand are hard for me to swallow as fact, lol!

Rattlesnakes! Ugh! My daughter won't go hiking in Colorado right now because they are coming out of the woods because of wild fires. I understand firemen in California are refusing to go into certain areas because of all the rattlers fleeing. That has nothing to do with this:-)

Do you want that last paragraph single-spaced? You should be able to fix it by first deleting it, then retyping it - don't cut and paste.

A little slower pace and shorter chapter than what we're used to here (slower despite the wild horses). Speaking of the horses, no one goes in search of them? Do they just wander back when they think the danger has passed?

Still well written and with good dialogue. Your sense of humor is always present.

xoxo

Look at you getting all ahead of yourself her, you wildly impatient reviewer, you!! Like Ah-nold Schwarzenegger in Terminator: Dey'll be BOCK!

Thanks for catching the single-space at the end. I missed that, so I'll go back once I'm done with all the reviews and fix it. You're an excellent editor! xo

I was out berry-pickin' this morning (no rattlesnakes to be seen, thankfully!), and listen to this: Gretchen makes up her side of the story as she writes it into the FS posting page!! Is that as incredible to you as it is to me?? That just blows my mind! So I wanted to post early and give her lots of time to write her side of the chapter...not that she seems to need it! The pressure of that would give me a heart attack!!

I didn't know that about the Colorado and California snakes. Yikes! Can't they just divert them with apples? It worked for Eve...oh, no wait a minute...

Anyway, thank you for this. I know I tell you this every time, but it really is sincere: I always look forward to your reviews. You are the best sicko on the planet. xoxo

I know people who write straight into the FS page, and they usually have lots of mistakes, but how do you save a copy? I know you can, of course, but isn't it harder to do it backward? Do they know they're doing it ass-backwards? Thank God we have all the answers:-)

Talk to you after my "procedure" tomorrow. I don't know how people deal with no food because it hasn't been a day for me and I'm starving.

    Bye, sicko:-)

Just envision how, just twenty-four hours from now, you'll be eating yourself into oblivion. May the force be with you and your soon-to-assaulted asshole. I'll be sending you such good vibrations!! xoxox

Not to minimize your writing, both yours and Gretchen's, but the simultaneous differing POVs is at least half the fun! Great concept, great work.
Best wishes.

Love, love, love it. I am going to tweak this just a tad. When I run after hearing about the rattler, you will realize it's not because I'm afraid. I love to see snakes in the wild. I'll come running back with my phone to take a picture. I should have told you that. I'm afraid of lizards and frogs but not snakes, go figure. That will also be the moment I realize my text went through. Fabulous chapter, Rachelle. Gretchen

Quite the adventure in Amish country. And what a close call...the stampeding horses and the snake. (I'll take the horses over the snake any day). Very enjoyable to read these stories that could actually take place.

Another great adventure in Amish country. It seems to be bringing out talents neither of you knew you were capable of using. No you might try taking up racing. I enjoyed the tales of your close calls.
