A beautifully written poem, Melissa, the voice in the wind, would be a great name, although whispering wind is also good, fire and winds are God's messengers poetically declared the psalms, 104 I seen to remember, beautifully written, my friend, blessings Roy

The message to me sounds like a loon in the night, moonlit lake, few if any other sound, calling, awaiting an answer hooted in hope, but maybe her mate was served as dinner.

I can feel the longing and the painful sorrow as she whispers for love to return or maybe find what never was. Like a candle flickering throughout the night, she hopes it will bring him to her and they will have an everlasting love.

This is nice free verse. I like the longing in the poem to find the soul mate or the one that will complete the writer. Imagination takes us into the search of for someone that seems. real and she feels is out there somewhere.
