I love the ghostly image. I would have played on that theme -but that would be a different poem entirely. How did you generate the image? was it an AI image?

Home is where the love is. Even if you live alone, it's the place you go to find comfort and safety. It's where you can relax and reflect. Love words less spoken through this style of writing. You have captured a whole story in three lines. My only hope that I may not find this fate to rest alone by a fire. Ah, you threw me a curve with your alluding to maybe a surprise is in store. There are always exceptions to every rule.... even as a home giving the wrong impression about its owner/ dweller/people inside.

I don't read a lot of poetry, but your picture drew me in. The words of your poem are so true - when I walk into someone's home for the first time, I always look around to see what kind of person they really are.

Oh yes, I read a person's dwelling like "tea leaves" ... giving away who they are, where they desire to go ultimately and what they believe. Fascinating!
