I love the ghostly image. I would have played on that theme -but that would be a different poem entirely. How did you generate the image? was it an AI image?

    Hi Jake,
I do believe it is an AI generated image. Playground.com is a website where you can use images and even alter them for your own use. It's free!

Thanks for your interest and nice review.

    Have a great weekend :-)

Home is where the love is. Even if you live alone, it's the place you go to find comfort and safety. It's where you can relax and reflect. Your poem thoughtfully expresses truth about your choice of things to surround yourself with in your home. As we look around our home, it reveals who we really are. Best wishes in the contest.

Love words less spoken through this style of writing. You have captured a whole story in three lines. My only hope that I may not find this fate to rest alone by a fire. Love the poem, makes you reflect on things to come, may our hearts fly high to achieve the adventures and the fate with love to call home where we find peace to lie down before we sleep

Yip! This statement is about the bottom fact prevailing this matter, illustrating the dwellers gathered interests throughout time: given intentions believed with those moments. All views are given in my view.

-Great artwork and nice presentation.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-You make a good point in your poem about
what a home is with effective imagery.
-I agree about it reflecting on who lives there
and what they are like, although they
could also surprise you.
-A good entry; good luck.

    Hi Pam,
Ah, you threw me a curve with your alluding to maybe a surprise is in store. There are always exceptions to every rule.... even as a home giving the wrong impression about its owner/ dweller/people inside.

    Very encouraging review, thank you!

I guess even ghosts go back to their favorite home to live out their life ... um, their afterlife. With coffee:-)

I don't read a lot of poetry, but your picture drew me in. The words of your poem are so true - when I walk into someone's home for the first time, I always look around to see what kind of person they really are.

I think this is a lovely entry for the contest. Good luck!

    Hi Pam,

Oh yes, I read a person's dwelling like "tea leaves" ... giving away who they are, where they desire to go ultimately and what they believe. Fascinating!

Thank you for such an honest candid review.

I love the picture of the smug casper with his cup of hot tea(or coffee) and enjoying the warmth from an ancient fireplace.
I love to look around a house and see what I can deduce about its inhabitants...All the best for the contest

    Hi Sanku,

Oh I love your review and thoughts! I do the same, it's a most natural thing to do to find out who they are.

    Thank you!

Loved the illustration. Must have been a old deserted home taken over by the ghosts of time. Some say we leave a footprint in a home well loved when we move on. Different, entertaining and well presented. K xx

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 poetry Contest. This is so true. I find it so interesting to go into people's homes and get a sense of who they are by the things they collect and have around the home. I like the presentation of your poem as well. Good luck in the contest.
