This is incredibly clever, writing a poem murder-mystery. This one throws up more clues, the sap from the tree; where the shoes were bought, we are getting closer to identify the lady. Well done again, Pam! I'm enjoying this. :)) Sandra xx

What a meticulous process investigators have here - the sap on every tree to find THE one? Wow!
I found a Kirby case in Alexandria, Virginia - is that this one?
Another very good crime series poem, Pam.

No Pam. This is a fictional case which I will specify in my next installment.

I came across your post randomly as I was scanning the sites to read various authors posts
Well done. Though it's number 3 and not having any story background I still found it interesting and easily read.
I may go back to 1-2.
Cheers,
John

This is a very interesting poetic story form. I don't think I've ever read a murder mystery written like on FanStory before. I can tell care was taken with not just the AA, BB rhyme scheme, but the syllable counts too.

This poem has a creative premise. Prose-y details like shoe sizes and samples keep it grounded in real life. Very effective use of rhyme. This is the kind of poem that makes readers want to read the next one, with the cliff-hanger on the end while the store owner looks in his sales book.

I really enjoyed your poem! The way you weave together all the little details like the shoe sizes and the clues leading to the discovery made it so interesting to read. I loved how you built up the investigation with such a clever use of rhyme. The distinctive tread of the shoes was a great touch. Your creativity shines through and I can't wait to see where the story goes next. Keep up the fantastic work!
