The passing of a loved one is a traumatic experience. Grief is a devastating emotion, which differs with each individual. Your poem is touching and well written. Evi

This is a very good poem for the contest. ^You have written some significant aspects about grief and your photo presentation and font support your words. For decades I've learned about grief through a 9/11 family foundation I've been involved with in NY. I enjoyed reading your work. Best wishes, Alex

I'm so sorry for your loss and the grief that you and your family must deal with now. It's a never-ending presence, but like the ocean waves, it has its high and low tides but never ceases to appear. You did a marvelous job with the poem, but I know it couldn't have been easy.
Hugs, Carol

An excellent entry for the Emotions Poetry Contest. I am more afraid of grief than I am of death. It is the unfortunate part of life that comes from loving. Beautiful poem.

You captured the terror of grief here Tom, I felt the pain of it and the constant memories that we turn over in our head when we are grieving as we cannot change things. A fine poem for the contest, love Dolly x

Thank you. And now to deliver the eulogy. We'll miss granddad. He was a good man.

Thank you, and now I must go and read again the eulogy they have scheduled to give today. I figure if I read it twenty times more I won't deliver it crying like a newly birthed infant being slapped on the backside to celebrate its arrival.
