I see things as they really are
But wishes do not make it so
Thought's alone will not get you far
I am sure this all feels shallow

I've prayed and pled for clarity
I see things as they really are
I hope you send some grace to me
I'm wishing on a real big star

Truth and consequence follow war
While searching through the many years
I see things how they really are
Can't hide behind my veil of tears

God answers all our questions friend
So go and own that big fat star
The curtain's gone I can't pretend

I'm with you friend! I don't like the woke thing at all. To disturbing. There is only two genders, Man and Woman. That's it. Anything else is from Pluto maybe. Who knows these days. Thanks for sharing. Great write. Have a wonderful week.

A beautiful quatern with an important subject. Wrong thinking and the worldy mind
is part of our fallen nature, so we tend to believe the outrageous. A woke mind or culture (or whatever you'd like to call it), is nothing more than a wordly mindset. However, it's subject to the same laws of God as everyone.

The way I battle this worldy mindset is in the mind by the Spirit of God.

Romans 2:1-2: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". This is a powerful verse from a book written over two thousand years ago.

Satan has been working to sell the worldy mind since the garden of Eden. There's always been substitute truths and false doctrines. A lie is not the truth no matter how you dress it up. I love being a woman as much as you love being a man. We've embraced what God has designed which is a beautiful thing.

I, too, think for myself as a renewed woman in Christ. I never have in my almost 70 years, thought myself to be anything other a female. Satan has crafted a magnificent lie with this present generation and he's ruining millions upon millions of precious lives.

Excellent

The term "woke" has been spun around and turned upside down to become a very negative catch word. It's been around for almost 100 years, and simply refers to someone who is socially and politically aware. In that context, we should all be "woke." Every time I hear a politician use the term it makes me sick.

Keep writing your excellent poetry and speaking your piece, Roy. I enjoy it.

I can't attest to how well this suits the selected format of poetry as some of them baffle me so I've kind of stopped trying! lol
