This little story is told so nicely, and gives the reader a clear glimpse into what it is like to attend a demonstration, feeling validated and good inside for being courageous and standing up for what you believe to be right. I commend you for your passion and for your exceptional ability to write about it, even while wondering if these things we do really do make any difference in the big scheme of things.

Jesse, I am so pleased you wrote about this rally you participated in. My wife, daughter, and granddaughter participated in a similar rally on the same day in Chicago. They too carried signs and loved being a part of a mass of people. You describe your experience very well. Rod

I am glad to hear that in your area people care, and they are showing up to make a difference, as well. I like the message on your sign. You also make a good point about silence. I'm glad passersby were supportive, too. A very good conclusion and I agree with you. Very well done, my friend, and thank you for making a difference.

I am stunned at the way this madman has been able to flaunt his entire disrespect of the law and the constitution of the USA.
And he is doing it in a way that seems to be working, at least for now.
How far will it go? I dread to think and fear to know.
I am sat here, looking over the water and thinking, how did America become the Fourth Reich.
