Mrs. KT, I read your classic poem and the words touch a person deep in their soul. Your memory is so vivid and clear, how sad the beauty is not seen by the new owners. God is so close to us and your writing is proof of His gentleness and might. I could gush on and on about your work, it is fantastic. The kurlman

First of all I wish you a Happy Easter, diane. This is a glorious faith poem that shows how devoted you are although you've had your doubts when you've seen the suffering of those who are dear to you. A masterful free verse poem. Beautifully written. All the best. Ulla:)))

Absolutely pristine and reverent poem which touched my soul and brought the Holy Spirit fluttering faithful whispers in my soul.

There is a greater need than ever for those who may never have considered the personal salvAtion the resurrection we celebrate on Easter represents!

Thanks for this beautiful Easter meditation. You have expert control over your free verse, using repetition of words and imagery to a powerful effect. It's such a comforting thing that He never lets us go. Happy Easter. He is Risen!

Happy Easter, Mrs. KT. this is a beautiful poem and as always your sense of form is intriguing. it appears that you are well traveled in this land and stop to notice its wonder. if you get a chance spend a night in the middle of the Nevada desert. what Man sees as nothingness, God knows as glorious Peace....meeshu

Thank you ever so much for stopping by, for your excellent rating and review, and for your suggestion. I have never been to Nevada; I hope to do so before too long.
I will never see all the wonder that surrounds me, but I surely spend my days trying...
    Thank you again!

Wow doesn't begin to explain how much I love this. You can see how much thought you put into this. It flowed throughout and I can't see anything that I would change. Can't wait to read more of your posts.

I am no stranger to God.

I love this true poem. It touches on all aspects of faith, even on the times we struggle to keep believing. Every time it came back to "I am no stranger to God" I felt as if the message got stronger. Thank you for a wonderful, true faith poem.

    Thank you, jusylee,

I wrote this poem in 2007. But I have just returned to FanStory on a more consistent basis, and I wanted to share it with new readers. It means a great deal to me.

I enjoyed reading your Easter poem, 'I Am No Stranger to God.'I like the say you write. It is as if you are sharing a conversation with the reviewer. I liked how you share how you have grown to know God through the joyful times of your life, as well as the times of confusion and sorrow. I also like the way you reveal how God reveals Himself to you through nature. Your free verse poem is a testimony of your personal relationship with our Creator-God. Blessings.

God is everywhere. You have depicted it well in your writing and even the picture. Do a Google search using the keywords Legend of the Dogwood. I grew up in Western Tennessee and love the snowy dogwood blossoms.

Hello Jean! Oh! I am very familiar with the dogwood's legend. That is one of the reasons they mean so much to me, at how they were particularly focused in this offering! Thank you for your kind review! diane

I am especially fond of this piece for many reasons. One is because in the form it takes , moving from one motion to another, and going from one awesome picture to the next as it travels across the painted landscape of our country,I can feel each moment, each movement like it was my own breathing and beating of my heart. It is easy to picture my self in this landscape and traveling along with each brushstoke of this poet artist as she colors in our world for us through her eyes and we are joined in the celebration here.. Many thanks go out to this artisan and her ability to express what is in so many hearts; as lies dormant until awakened by her pen and every line. I bow low before this work that puts a fix on the life and helps it see a bit clearer this day.
Sincerely, grassroots08,
