Hello BethShelby, a good day to you I hope this finds you well. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I'm sure there are many of us who can relate to this story. I know what I'm good at and what I'm not. Not everyone can do every task, many will say it's a strength thing, or just being lazy, but they fail to realize that everybody's brain works differently. anyway, enough rambling.....good job and have a great day.

Thank you for an excellent review. Yes, I don't the organized brain my husband had. I also lacked his patience. We worked pretty well together with each of us making up for the other's handicaps.

Dear Beth,
This is written well and quite funny. Your husband is a domestic engineer. I work with a lot of engineers and to a point as you point out they do fine, but given a task they also know how to perform it, whether their solution is right or not. I loved the book episode and also the clothes one.
Warm regards,
Winslow

BethShelby, still another well written piece about the daily run of 'domestic bliss(?)'.
Your description is spot on. Flow and pace excellent. I just love the 'boods' and 'clothing' examples.
Well done

I tell you what, that guy is spoiling things for the rest the male gender. We will just have to keep this article away from the ladies of the house. What a man, mind you I can see the problem you have with his ordered mind when it comes to books and I bet closet looked very pretty with the colours all hanging together. Bless Him. Another fun article well done Albert.

Albert, Thanks, I apprecate the review and the funny comments. I may have to keep him away from the ladies. One told me she was falling in love with him. But he thought I was putting him down.

Loved your story about the man and the dishwasher. I have issues with dishes so I could relate to your piece. I once told my family that the dishwasher does not have an access code that anyone could open it and load it up. You have inspired me.

Very entertaining and I suspect true everywhere. Whenever I do the dishes, for some reason, I can only seem to fit in about half of what my wife does. Like you, it is not a ploy to get out of work as I have to do the remainder by hand. Strangely enough, in our house, I am the one who thinks in ordered patterns.... go figure.
Anyway, a very entertaining read.

Thank you for your review and comments. I'm glad you found it entertaining. If you're not the one who loads the dishwasher properly then it must be something other than orderly thinking.

Beth, this is great. I love it. I can't see a thing that needs to be changed. My husband never went quite that far, but I can honestly say that I never, in 57 years of marriage, picked up any thing after him, not clothes, shoes or a towel. I love your posts. They're always good for a few minute's respite. Keep it up, pat

This was a light-hearted read made thoroughly enjoyable by the telling.
A friend of mine has long maintained that the reason she and her husband get on so well is because he came complete with his own vaccuum cleaner and the abilty to use it. He also scrubs toilets and does dishes.
Not a bad deal, if you can get it!
Thanks for sharing!

Those husbands have their uses if you get one you can train. I'd hate to have to train another one. Thanks for your review and comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I really enjoy your writing. You take the simple, everyday tasks and turn them into something witty. I especially liked this: "of which I have many sizes ranging from pleasingly plump to grossly obese." And I hear you on the dishwasher thing. I don't own one, I've never loaded one but I'm fairly certain I wouldn't get it right either.
*smiles* Well done.

Thanks for your review and comments. I could do without one also but I do like to use it as a holding tank.
