I get the sense that your kite is a metaphor for stress in your life and letting go, the release of that stress. Good job of meeting the contest criteria, Amada.

Right on, how right you are. Stress holds me tight, trying to let go of my won kite as well.

r "karma metaphor "karma Kite." fit? Or does it mean anything at all? If it does, please explain, I am interested in knowing. I'm not saying that it doesn't, I'm only questioning so that I understand. I just never saw it under that perspective before. Karma is a well dserverved feeling from doing something good in the past, not necessarily a relase such as a kite ride. Tony

Lovely little poem about kites. They are amazing things.
The whole poem is excellent that is why I am not going to pin point a particular line.

It's good to be able to let any burden go, whether it is a kite of financial worry.
Thanks for sharing

Hello, Amada; to me this works best as a "concrete" poem, since the shape on the page resembles a kite. But the poetry part is the real happiness - the metaphor of letting go, and the kite soaring, to express letting go of your worries, and your heart going up.

Wonderful!

Thank you, Gil: The joy is real, the concrete was accidental; but who is complaining.

Wonderfully expressive, with your "kite" metaphor as the cares of life--we can feel the weight being lifted. I admired your title and thought the naani was the perfect vehicle for your theme. Best wishes in the contest.

So much great advise in such a small space. Very well put, and I hope many people take your advice, especially since it's only by letting go that we can begin to truly live.

amada:
Loved reading this Naani which I found inspiring.
The lightness returns upon letting go of what is burdening somebody.
Much like the color yellow you've chosen which I appreciate as encouraging the light to come in. And the flying kite both an object and a symbol.
Very nice!
