Hey alexis,

Well, shit! You let that bastard get away with it! Hell, the prosecutor should have found out all that stuff about Lisa before putting her on the stand so he could have protected her. And, now, I guess Richard is going to feel less than gracious towards her & Nick is gonna make life hell for her.

SHIT!! lol

I don't know if I'm looking forward to the next chapter or not.

btw, NO SPAG!! Damn, girl, you doin' good!!

smiles,

deb

Oh, I think your going to love it (and hate it!)You know how I like a few twists and turns, and I don't think anyone could possibly anticipate what's about to happen. It will probably be full of spag though, I can't have too many chapters without it! Take care, Alexis x

this is very well written, alexis, you did a great job writing this chapter where lisa is abused by the defender and they use previous reports to discredit her testimony and the case is thrown out of court.

Your story goes on apace; your writing is generally clear and coherent. So why, then, you might ask, am I giving you four rather than five stars. What inoticed in this story (this chapter is the second I have reviewed, the third I have read) is that the plot is little too dirivative. By derivative I mean, there are no surprises and no plot twists that I haven't read many times before. It's like that as I read the chapter summary, I could have told you pretty much what was going to unfold. Your character is very much the silly, weak female here, a stereotype that has been done to death. Frankly, I wanted to slap her pretty, sniveling face. Think about stiffening her spine and gathering her composure at least a little. The trial doesn't have to have a different outcome since the evidence against her is overwhelming, I think many readers might like her better though.

Good grief ...let me at him., swine, oh he needs a few swift kicks to the jewels.

Oh boy deep breaths....ok now I'm bloody dangling again...I hate cliff hangers...especially on FS cause now I have to wait till tomorrow.

Alan looks to be out of the picture and my heart is pounding suppose that is good means I didn't croak reading this chapter.

Bloody amazing work.I'm gobsmacked and ready for more...wow....

Ok what can I say fantastic...someone else can do the grammar part I was too caught up in the chapter.
I've been a witness to this type of case. New what would happen, and it did.

I swore I would never again put myself through it again. It's always the victims that have to endure the strain of trial while the accused sits smug....same in my case.

Thanks for sharing bloody amazing work top notch.

You are so funny, Maureen. You are so right about the court case scenario side of things. It must be so frustrating for the police seeing people like Nick getting off Scot free because they can afford a clever lawyer. Grrrrrrr! Thank you so much my friend for your fantastic review and greatly appreciated six. Alexis x

What a chapter! Nick's barrister just crucified her. I knew something would be said about the delay in reporting everything. And about what she was saying when Nick raped her. Good build up of questioning and descriptions. Poor Lisa .. That Nick oooh I'd like to get my hands on him, slap him a round a little. I know it's a story but you write it so well, I just get dragged into it and want the best outcome lol Alex :)

Thank you so much , Alex. I must admit I was once the main witness in a case I took out to try and get some of the £18,000 an employee stole from my business. Even although she had been tried, found guilty and served a jail sentence by the time my private prosecution took place, I was told that I would definitely get some of my money back because she had invested all the money in a house. I was in the witness box for one and a half days, and didn't get a penny because of the way her superb lawyer manipulated his questioning- so I know exactly how Lisa would have felt!

Very good story. I really enjoyed reading it. I give it 6 mainly cause I like it. I don't see any thing to correct. I'm assuming there will be another chapter and looking forward to reading it.
