The friends stood there watching, but what could they do?
Then Daddy Mouse shouted, "Come on all of you,
We've got to get hold of the string hanging down,
Then we can pull him back down to the ground.
One of you put all the kites in the van,
The rest of you follow as fast as you can!"

What an adventure you take us all on. Especially the children who will be reading this. A teaching tool, girl and so good.

Well I still can't give you a six. Darn it. I wish you would fire the mole! Her family is tearing up my yard. That was really exciting Sandra. Can you imagine flying on a kite? What fun. Loved it Nancy.

I had to laugh, Nancy, we had moles when we lived in England and they were nowhere near as sweet as Millie! I am pleased you enjoyed this one though, thanks for your lovely review!!!! xsx

Hi Sandra, this is another charming tale, but after reading it aloud I have a couple of suggestions :)

Timmy and Tommy Mouse jumped out of bed,
And pulled their pyjama tops over their heads.
They washed themselves, brushed their teeth, tidied their hair,
Then dressed in a hurry and clambered downstairs.
Their breakfast was ready, they quickly sat down,
And gulped down their food till they saw Mummy frown!

There are a lot of 'their's in this verse and the third line is a bit long so alters the meter slightly, so maybe

While pulling pyjama tops over their heads.
They had a good wash, brushed their teeth, combed their hair
Then dressed in a hurry and clambered downstairs.
Mmmm, breakfast was ready, they quickly sat down
Gulping down porridge til they saw Mummy frown!

They saw all their friends out there, flying their kite

They saw lots of friends out, too, flying their kites

The imagery was lovely, kids will love it!

Regards, Barb

Sandra, another great chapter for you book. The artwork you have chosen is wonderful and helps enhance this story. You write about each character having such great fun flying their kites. The last time I enjoyed flying a kite was 12 yrs ago. I was living in the state of Oregon and would join a group of people on the pacific coast. Man, Sandra, that was such a fun time.

This story length is just fine as it reads and flows well with a great rhyming scheme. Well done my friend and many thanks for those memories,,,,,,Jim xx

Oh thank you, Jim! I am so glad it brought you some good memories. I went to a kite festival with my little granddaughter, earlier this year, and it was such fun watching their happy faces. Its nice to feel young again, don't you think? Thank you again, my friend, for another lovely review. xxsxx Sandra.

Brilliant. Absolutely love it. I can almost see this story being presented as a cartoon on TV. And it has a message at the end... very clever. I'm quite sure children would love it.

I really enjoyed this! I think my kids would too. Thanks for clarifying the spelling of pajamas thing, that was my only hiccup. Great work!

Thank you for your lovely review, MelReyn, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! We have a few differences between the UK and US spellings, I used to change it with the spell check, and then forget to change it back. Hence the explanation! Thank you again! xsx Sandra.

This is an excellent and interesting poem with compelling characters. The rhythm and rhyme are good, and the graphics enhance the story.

The story flowed in a logical sequence, with each animal doing its part. The personification of the critters was so realistic the story could have been told about human children. I was an interesting read. Curtis
