Wow, Pat,

I can't imagine waking up to a gun pointed at me by my mom. So sad for you.

I'm with you, I think it is so wrong to have an abortion. Something tells me those that do learn to regret it down the road. I have a cousin that did, and she felt bad about it later.

Good for you for having your son and having the courage to give him to adoption. A mother's love will do what they have to do for what's best.

Great chapter.

Cheers & Blessings

Thank you for the review. Waking up to a gun in ones face is not my idea of a good day to say the least. By this time in life I had experienced enough that I was almost fearless, but that did put into me some fear. There is a good story coming connected to the adoption, so stay with me. Knowing myself, I dare say had I had an abortion I probably would have taken my own life because I would not have been able to handle the guilt.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

WHY IS IT BACK IN THE OLD DAYS GETTING PREGNANT AND NOT BEING MARRIED WAS A HOLY SIN AN ACT AGAINST GOD THE SAID AND OUR UP BRINGING. IF YOU WERE PREGNANT YOU HAD TO GOT AN UNWED MOTHERS HOME. MOST GAVE THEIR CHILDREN UP FOR ADOPTION AND THE ONES WHO DIDN'T WERE SHUNNED BY THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

I am not sure why the things were as they were back when I had my son. I suppose people thought it would disgrace the family name.
I have always thought though if my mom had shot me with the gun or had tricked me into taking those pills and I had died would that not have disgraced the family name. I never understood my mother, but was able to forgive her, We did have a fair relationship until she died, Stay with me in the story as there is coming a good story around the adoption.

yes back in the day it was a disgrace their reputations were on the line if the kids messed up in any aspect in their lives
